On Zone Chat today, I asked this same question. The conversation went something like this:
Me: What is weapon crit and how does it work? Zone Chat: It causes more damage. Me: How? Zone Chat: It doesn't cause more damage. It just increases the likelihood of causing damage. Zone Chat: Wait, what? Crit causes damage. Me: But how does it work?? Zone Chat: Crit increases your ability to cause more damage. Me: What does that even mean? By a percentage? Zone Chat: Are you a nightblade? Me: No. Why? Zone Chat: Because only nightblades benefit from WC. So don't worry about it. Me: Why would only nightblades benefit from weapon crit? Zone Chat: Don't listen to him. Everyone benefits. Nightblades just benefit more. Zone Chat: You're an idiot. Zone Chat: Oh yeah? Well so's your MOM! Zone Chat: You dissing my mom?? Well, you're dad's an &%*$$#@!! *** So that's the answer I got. No exaggeration (just a bit of artistic license so I could clean up the profanity and leave out the 'Looking for group,' 'Want to join my super-cool guild', and 'I need some attention now' chats). Seriously, can anyone actually explain this? When I drink a potion that gives me a 400 weapon crit buff for 12 seconds, what does that actually mean? Does it mean I instant kill or does it cause more damage and why do only nightblades need it? Am I wasting my time brewing weapon crit potions? What's the best way to take advantage of weapon crit? Thanks for any help!! Ds3 How To Upgrade Crit Dmg In Windows 7

Jul 07, 2014 Critical damage is, like its name suggests, a damage much stronger than normal attack damage, often doing more than 75% of the target's HP if not outright killing the target. Using Critical damage to achieve overkill can benefit players early in the game, because of the extra souls gained. If your weapon of choice would be a sword, for example, it would be wise to add engravings to your gear that would boost the damage done by the sword. This is the same for all other weapon types. https://decorever151.weebly.com/blog/5e-eladrin-dmg. The critical hit multiplier is the number by which the base damage is multiplied upon a confirmed critical hit. Not to be confused with critical threat - which refers to how likely you are to land a critical hit.It also affects various damage effects coming from specific weapon enhancements;

Ways to increase multiplier[edit]
Many active attacks, often coming from enhancements, feats, or epic destiny abilities, modify the critical threat and/or multiplier of a single attack. These effects usually stack with everything else.
Bug: None of the multiplier increasing effects work on thrown weapons. (Update: Probably already fixed!)
Ways to increase multiplier on 19 and 20[edit]
Multiple ways exist how to increase critical multiplier on the rolls of 19 and 20. All of these fully stack.
